Before you begin

Choose the best answer without a translator, dictionary, AI assistant or outside help. It is normal for the later questions to feel difficult.

Use headphones or a quiet place. Listening prompts never play automatically.
If you need a transcript or another listening accommodation, arrange it with the assessment organiser before starting.
When you select Start recording, your browser will ask for microphone permission. You can also upload an audio file.
Your recording is sent securely to Soniox for transcription and stored privately with your assessment. Soniox transcription confidence is not used as a language score.
Only people authorised to view this attempt can play the recording. Deleting the submission also deletes its stored recording and transcript.

You only need to fill in the required fields. Add anything else you are comfortable sharing; it can make your profile more useful.

Which language should we use for the assessment interface?

This changes navigation, instructions, and form messages. It does not change what a proficiency test measures.
